This funding opportunity is a partnership between Band Together and United Way of the Greater Triangle with an overall fundraising goal of $1,000,000. This opportunity is open to all nonprofit organizations and collaboratives in Durham, Orange, Johnston, and Wake counties working in mental health spaces.
One applicant from each of the following topics will be selected for this partnership.
- Direct Mental Health Service Providers including, but not limited to, individual therapy, group therapy, rehabilitation, support groups, etc.
- Family + Youth Mental Health including, but not limited to, mentorship, peer support, community connection, etc.
- Housing those experiencing homelessness including, but not limited to, rapid rehousing programs, short- and long-term rentals providing a foundation for access to resources and supports. We understand that stable housing is a basic need that must be present in order to increase self-sufficiency and ability to participate in mental health supports.
- Eviction prevention focusing on programs and supports that keep renters and owners in their current home and relieve the added mental stress of housing insecurity.

- Applications will be reviewed by 1 UWGT representative, 1 Band Together representative, 1 peer applicant
- Final recommendations will be made by United Way of the Greater Triangle and Band Together. These decisions will be driven by reviewer scores.

Fundraising Support
- Contributing to the overall fundraising goal of $1,000,000 by committing to a minimum $25,000 fundraising floor for your organization and participation in ongoing fundraising calls.

- July - Panel + Networking Event
- September 21st - Band Together Concert
- October/November - Wrap Up + Celebration Event
- January/February 2025 - Payments to nonprofits
