Thank you for your interest in the BlackSEL Summit 2024! In just two years since its inception, the Black SEL Summit has brought together over 500 individuals to explore culturally affirming Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) within Black communities. Over three days, the summit shines a spotlight on Black educators, community leaders, and essential stakeholders actively implementing SEL in schools and communities. Our central focus is on fostering the sustainability of SEL practices within Black communities and addressing existing gaps in literature within the field. All applicants should either be actively engaged in or have contributed to initiatives related to Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). Our aim is to spotlight Black leaders, educators, parents, and community advocates for their dedication to promoting SEL within Black communities. We eagerly anticipate reviewing your application and will notify you once a decision has been reached. The submission deadline is June 1st, 2024.
